And you get Corky with a unlikely history: 1965 > He comes out from under the wings of Chicago Blues Masters that sat in with him nighty at his weekly engagement at their hangout - Pepper’s Lounge. 1966 to 2015 > Tours with the Siegel-Schwall Band and as central figures in San Francisco’s Summer of Love. 1966 to to date > He began bringing blues to the classical world, performing and composing for the major orchestras - 50 and still counting. 1966 > as a singer-songwriter he and Jim Schwall produced Joni Mitchell’s last demo including Circle Game and they also were the early writers for the MUSICAL HAIR. He is credited with creating a new genre of music called Chamber Blues, Won a major national composition award for chamber music, is a Blues Hall of Fame Inductee, Grand Prix Du Disc winner and recorded on Vanguard, RCA, Deutsche Grammophon, Alligator Records. Toured with George Carlin and Bob Hope. A “incomparable legacy” as Making a Scene insists, “a national treasure” - Downbeat. And you become an extended member of his family; “Hello Cousin!”
